Call another flow from within a flow

Use a button's Start another flow action to call a separately built flow and keep your flows organized.

Instead of building all the information inside one flow, you can prepare a separate flow and call it from a button. This keeps your flows organized and tidy. This guide makes a “Холбоо барих” (Contact us) button run a separate “Холбоо барих” flow.

Create a new flow

Go to Flows (Өрөлт) and click Create new (Шинээр үүсгэх). Name the flow, for example “Өрөлт дуудах” (Call a flow), and click Continue (Үргэлжлүүлэх).

Choose the message type

Click the first block and choose a type from the Message type (Мессежийн төрөл) list. Use Instagram for Instagram and Messenger for Messenger. Omnichannel works on both. This example uses Messenger.

Add a message and a button

Click Add content (Контент нэмэх) and type your text, for example “Сайн байна уу? Та доорх цэснээс мэдээлэл аваарай” (Hello! Choose from the menu below).

Below it, click Add button (Товчлуур нэмэх) and add a “Холбоо барих” button. This button will call a separate flow.

Create the flow to call

Go back to the Flows (Өрөлтүүд) list and click Create new again. Name the new flow “Холбоо барих”.

Add the information and publish

Add your contact details to the new flow, for example a phone number and your Facebook page name.

Then click Publish (Нийтлэх).

Call the other flow from the button

Go back to the flow list and open the first flow, “Өрөлт дуудах”. Click the “Холбоо барих” button.

Under When this button is clicked (Энэ товчлуур дээр дарах үед), choose Start another flow (Өөр өрөлт эхлүүлэх). In the new block's Start another flow list, pick the “Холбоо барих” flow.

Publish and open the link

Click Publish. To test it, click the ••• button next to Publish and choose Get published link (Нийтлэгдсэн линк авах).

Copy the link, paste it into a new browser tab and open it.

Check the result

The chat shows the message “Сайн байна уу? Та доорх цэснээс мэдээлэл аваарай”. When you click “Холбоо барих”, the “Холбоо барих” flow you prepared runs right away.

If you choose Send message (Мессеж илгээх) on the button, the information is built again inside the same flow. Calling a separate flow with Start another flow keeps your flows much more organized and tidy.
